Hello!
I am a mum, a wife, a cat owner, a charity worker and an Artist in the Garden Studio at Haddenham Arts Centre.
I create paintings for your home inspired by art forms in nature. I love decorative patterns and bold colours to bring joy to people’s lives, working with a range of media including graphite, gouache, acrylics and pen. I aim to create eco-conscious pieces too, reusing materials and incorporating collaged pieces from previous experimental work.
As a new Cambridge Open Studios member, you’ll be able to view and purchase new work on all four weekends in July 2021 (See my guide entry here). Weekends 1 and 2 I will be exhibition new work at the Pitt Building in Cambridge. Weekends 3 and 4 you'll be able to see how they are made and visit my at my Garden Studio at Haddenham Arts Centre. Contact me for further information (mob: 07966727289 or email: laura_p68@yahoo.co.uk)
In 2018 I exhibited 1000 handmade origami cranes to mark World Mental Health Day at The Chequer Studio, Ely.
I graduated from the MA in Museum Studies at University of Leicester in 2011 with a distinction and previously studied Fine Art Painting at Norwich University of the Arts and Cyprus College of Art. My work has been exhibited in the past in venues across Cambridgeshire and Norfolk including Haddenham Galleries, Cambridge Contemporary Art, Primavera, Cambridge Arts Theatre, Maddermarket Theatre and The Playhouse, Norwich.
