i set up Hurdy Gurdy Glass designs 28 years ago  .  I grew up in Cambridge and have explored many different areas of Art and Craft over the years. I went to Art College as a mature student, where I learned my skills as a stained glass artist. For a short period, I worked in the stained glass studio of Susan Matthews, stained glass artist and curator of Ely Cathedral stained glass museum. I have worked in this medium now for 30 years, and have sold my work at various fairs and galleries in and around Cambridge . I have always undertaken private commissions both designing and restoring stained glass windows, mostly for private clients. Past commissions have included work for Ely Cathedral and Chilford Hall .For the past fifteen years I have taught stained glass courses for Cambridgeshire Community Education, Whitehouse arts, Rowan foundation, and for school groups, as well as teaching general art/craft to special needs groups, such as Castle school and the Alzheimers' society. Most recently, I have been involved in community arts projects, and am currently facilitating workshops for the creation of a community mosaic.
